Canoeing Keurbooms River – Half Day
Description
Canoeing Whiskey Creek/ Keurbooms River – Half Day
Spend a relaxing day paddling up the Whiskey Creek Gorge in the picturesque Keurbooms Reserve. GoVertical’s guides invite you to spend the morning exploring this stretch of forested wilderness. From the lazy river, to the overhanging cliffs and forested slopes, the scenery is splendid.
We take a break on one of the many of the idyllic sandy beaches along the river to enjoy a swim. It is possible to swim, wade and explore the area. The water is crystal clear, but also the colour of coca cola, a strange concept. The colour is due to the tannins and humus from the forest and is completely natural and unpolluted. Knysna Loeries, Fish Eagle, shy Bush Buck, Genet and many forest creatures live along the forest margins, this canoe trip is a compete departure from civilization, it’s a treat.
