Canoeing Goukamma River- Half Day

Spend a sunny morning on the picturesque Goukamma River. Open to the sea, the lagoon supports diverse habitats & an abundance of wild life. You might paddle beneath the watchful gaze of resident fish eagles, enjoy the antics of the shore waders and perhaps take some time to relax and sun yourself like the darters.

We take a break in a shady spot to enjoy a paddlers snack before heading back towards the sea. There are fascinating rock pools at the sea side of the reserve, with beautiful beaches to chill on and picnic sites upriver. This is the perfect place to spend a lazy day – that’s after we’ve got you to work up a sweat in the, you’re welcome to spend all day soaking up the sun at Goukamma reserve after the canoe trip.
