The Property
Buffalo Hill Safari Lodge is a family run Lodge since 2019 and is situated in the 23000 ha Manyoni Private Game Reserve. Our home away from home lodge is made up of five luxury open plan rooms of either double or twin rooms within a double story with beautiful earthly colors and warm home-cooked meals. For the bird lovers the reserve has over 400 species of birds and over 70 species of mammals, among then the “Big 5” and also African wild dogs and cheetah.
Accommodation
Our home away from home lodge is made up of 5 luxury open plan rooms of either double or twin rooms within a double story house with beautiful earthly colors and warm home-cooked meals.
We also have 1 homely 2-bedroom self-catering cottage.
- Buffalo Thorn: Queen bed, open plan, corner bath, air-conditioning, ceiling fan.
- Mountain Aloe: Double bed, en-suite, ceiling fan, air conditioning shower.
- Umzimbeet: Queen Bed and twin beds, shower, air-conditioning.
- Wild Mulberry: Twin beds, shared bathroom, bath, shower, air-conditioning, ceiling fan.
- Cross Berry: Twin beds, shared bathroom, bath, shower, air conditioning, ceiling fan.
- Lucky Bean Tree Cottage: 2 rooms, 1 King bed and 1 twin beds, shower, ceiling fans. Self-Catering, main room and lounge has air-conditioning.
- All rooms are equipped with Aquazone Sterilisation machines

Dining
- We offer Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner as well as different snack and cheese platters for afternoon/evening game drives, sundowners, picnics and outings.
- We offer indoor dining as well as outdoor dining in the day and candle lit dinners with fire at the lapa with drinks and snacks available from the games room.

Safari Experience
- Morning Game Drives (Guided) – Waking up with stunning views of open bush and the call of natural, breath in the morning’s fresh air and the sight for the sun rising over the Lebombo Mountain Range. Starting your day with an early morning game drive to view what the reserve has for us on that specific morning with coffee and a morning snack before making your way back to the lodge with the smell of breakfast in the air.
- Afternoon Game Drives (Guided) – Relax and enjoy your surroundings during the day with lunch at your leisure. Then embark again in the later afternoon for yet another game drive to see what nature has hold for us to view with sundowners and snacks just before the sun sets over our beautiful rolling hills of Buffalo Hill Safari Lodge.
- Tiger Fishing – For the fishermen, Jozini dam holds 13 species of fish including tiger fish, tilapia, catfish. There is a catch and release policy for tiger fishing and fishermen are asked to only keep their trophy fish of the day.
